A well organised event with good and clear marshals, the route was great. My first half marathon and will definitely be entering next year.
I enjoyed the race - lovely location & liked the early start with no delays. Good support from the marshalls too. Congratulations to all involved.

Great event. Really enjoyed it. Fab for a PB
Thanks for organising a fab race!
It was well worth the effort of getting up before the crack of dawn - an all round great race
I am just emailing to congratulate you on the Half Marathon yesterday. It was very well run, just like last year. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for a great morning!
I ran in The River Thames Half Marathon yesterday as part of my marathon preps. Not sure what I had for breakfast but was gobsmacked to run a PB of 1.37.05, coming in as 8th place female and first in my class !! As an oldie...(51) I thought those days were long gone haha. So - onwards and upwards with the marathon then!! By the way - an excellent, well run event along the tow path from Walton on Thames - pretty, flat and fast - can thoroughly recommend it :)
Thanks for putting on a great race, very well organised. Oh, and a fantastic medal!
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on the inaugural River Thames Half Marathon on 5th October 2014. Where appropriate, we will be incorporating the feedback into the 2015 race. In particular, we have revised the route to take out the section on road which a few runners weren't comfortable running along and replaced it with more towpath which lots of runners said they enjoyed.
Roy Reeder, Race Director
I really enjoyed Sundays run, it was one of the best HM I have run and I will definitely be doing again next year. It was well supported, very well organised and one of the most accurate courses I have done to date
The course- (for me the most important aspect) Amazing, exactly what it said on the tin. Scenic, flat, couldn’t have asked for more. Number of entrants- Fine, you could have probably dealt with a few more. The marshals- clear early signals. All very helpful. The medal- double up as a bottle opener? Brilliant. The first aiders- came to see if I was ok after race- very helpful indeed. Spectators- My mrs said it was the best course as you she got to see me at 4 different points on the course, not including the start!!! Website- Very helpful. Please thank the web designer. Local pubs (You had no control) but the food was immense. Would I do it again??? Yes most definitely. I can’t imagine anyone saying different. A great day out, a perfect location with great potential for a PB. Thanks so much and have already pencilled this race in for next year. I think you’ll get loads more from my running club too.
So well organised ...fantastic course.....well done and thank you
Excellent race, lovely weather, beautiful stretch of river to run along, and a PB - what more could you want! Thanks for organising.
Course was fab (I did a PB :-), the number pick-up worked well and medal was brilliant. Genius to have a bottle opener!

Great event! I hope it went well for you, it all seemed to run very smoothly. Full marks for organising enough portaloos, and for the water and banana at the finish.
It was a nice run and thanks to all those who volunteered to help on the day.
I'm so glad that the day was a success. I really enjoyed being part of the support team and met some lovely people along the way. Very glad for the lovely weather, you couldn't have timed it better. The day was topped off with my hubby running a personal best, which he's very chuffed about.

I was very impressed. Easy to enter and pick up racing chip/details on the day. Course was a nice mix of road and towpath with a decent medal and finish bag. Results were published very quickly so that was great and pictures processed fast as well. Great event - 8/10
